Merrillville-based Centier Bank has seen robust growth since the start of the year, according to our partners at the Times of Northwest Indiana. The bank has increased deposits by 14% year over year in the first six months of 2023 and has increased loans by 24% compared to the same time last year.
New branches are opening, and new leaders are infused into the company as well. Earlier this year, Chris Campbell was named president while Anthony Contrucci was named president of First Bancshares Inc., the bank’s parent company. Several other roles like market presidents and directors have also been refreshed.
The bank employs about 1,000 people at 60 branches across the state. It has recently begun construction at a new branch in Cedar Lake. Lowell, Schererville and Valparaiso East branches have also recently been remodeled.
Centier was also named to the “America’s Best Banks” and “Best Small Employers” lists from Forbes earlier this year.
