The company says it has completed an expansion of its Indianapolis South branch and has begun construction on an expansion in Fort Wayne.
IAA bills itself as a global digital marketplace connecting vehicle buyers and sellers. The company spun out of Carmel-based KAR Global (NYSE: KAR) in June 2019.
The company is not disclosing financial details of the expansions, however the Indy expansion is expected to create 15 jobs.
IAA says the expansions will more than double the company’s capacity in Indiana.
“The added capacity of these two branches will significantly increase IAA’s presence in central and southern Indiana, helping to ensure that we continue to meet increasing demand across the state,” Tim O’Day, president of U.S. operations at IAA, said in written remarks. “Our growth in the Midwest, along with our excellent customer service and cutting-edge technology, will work to maintain a top-notch experience for our customers.”
IAA did not specify how much square footage is being added to either location.
Last August, IAA broke ground on its third branch location in Crothersville. The company operates more than 210 facilities and employs some 4,500 workers throughout the U.S., Canada and United Kingdom.
