Broadway Actress Returning to Ball State

The Ball State Daily News reports Sutton Foster will co-direct "Shrek: The Musical," which she starred in on Broadway when the show debuted in 2008.
Foster was last in Muncie to co-direct "The Drowsy Chaperone," which she also starred in on Broadway. She has taught master classes and hosted workshops on the Muncie campus since 2006, and received an honorary doctorate degree from Ball State in 2012.
The actress won Tony Awards for her performances as Millie Dillmount in "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and Reno Sweeny in "Anything Goes." Other notable Broadway roles include Fiona in "Shrek: The Musical" and Janet Van De Graaf in "The Drowsy Chaperone."
Foster will co-direct Shrek with Department of Theatre and Dance Chair Bill Jenkins.
