BraunAbility says the ramps will be built in communities where its employees live and work.
The manufacturer says it will also build ramps in select markets where it owns retail locations.
“SAWs changes lives by enabling clients to safely get outside of their own homes, and our products allow our customers and their families to connect with their communities,” said BraunAbility Chief Executive Officer Staci Kroon. “It makes perfect sense to mark our 50th anniversary by giving back to residents who need greater mobility freedom in our communities.”
BraunAbility says the initiative is part of celebrations for the company’s 50th anniversary.
BraunAbility says the ramps are made of wood and meet ADA standards. To qualify for a ramp build, the manufacturer says recipients are required to have a long-term disability, as well as a household income below the Area Mean Income.
The ramps will be built in July and August by volunteers from SAWs and BraunAbility.
