Bowen Health Clinic broke ground last week on a $10 million integrated health facility in Warsaw, where Bowen has been headquartered for decades. The new health center aims to combine a variety of services from primary care to mental health to addiction recovery and even space for a dentist’s office and pharmacy.
“Our patients deserve a state-of-the-art facility where they can get their mental health, substance abuse, psychiatric care, primary care, dental, and pharmacy all in one location,” said Jay Baumgartner, chief financial officer at Bowen Center. “So, if you’ve been a patient of ours, this facility will be for you. If you never had to access our services, but someday might, this facility will be here for you.”
The new facility will be located just off of State Road 30 on the north side of Warsaw.
Bowen specializes in mental health treatment in the communities around SR 30, but the new center aims to treat both the physical and mental health of their patients. It’s an approach Bowen executives say has seen positive results, and the not-for-profit has added primary care services at existing locations in recent years.
The building is scheduled to be done by the fall of 2025. The project is the latest in a series of activity for Bowen, which opened a mental health crisis center in Pierceton in July. Bowen also opened a new building in Whitley County this year and another is expected to open in Plymouth by the end of the year.
