Bikeshare Program Marks Three Years

Subscribe NowThe Pacers Bikeshare program is marking its third anniversary and reporting a total of more than 326,000 trips since it launched in 2014. Indianapolis Cultural Trail Inc., which operates the program, says it has grown to 29 stations and more than 250 bikes.
The organization has also released an upgraded mobile application that allows users to check out bikes with their mobile devices. It also shows the nearest bike stations and outlines bike availability.
In its third year of operation, the bikeshare program reported 101,704 trips, accounting for 245,467 miles traveled. The program also added two stations in its third year.
The Pacers Bikeshare program launched April 22, 2014. Since then, organizers say users have purchased nearly 4,200 annual passes and more than 80,000 day passes. In all, the program boasts over 326,502 total trips, resulting in nearly 725,000 miles traveled.
