Battery Innovation Center to Feature ‘Mythbusters’ Host

Jamie Hyneman will be among the speakers at this year’s Battery Innovation Center Annual Stakeholder luncheon that will be emceed by Inside INdiana Business Host Gerry Dick. Additional participants include Fishers-based ClearObject Chief Executive Officer John McDonald, Columbus-based Cummins Inc. Engine Business President Srikanth Padmanabhan and Oklahoma-based Ten-Nine Technologies LLC founder Paige Johnson.
The event to support the nonprofit, Newberry-based battery tech hub will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Crane Bay Event Center in downtown Indianapolis.
Hyneman is the founder and head of San Francisco-based M5 Industries Inc., a special effects shop-turned-research and development facility that served as the primary setting for the long-running Discovery Channel television series.
The BIC says the luncheon will feature networking opportunities, as well as presentations by established and emerging industry leaders providing insight delivery and scaling up their technology.
