The “Our Call to Beneficence” campaign establishes a $350 million fundraising goal to advance initiatives supporting student opportunity and success; academic experience; and campus and community impact.
University officials say the public launch comes after raising $225 million already. The campaign is named for the Muncie campus’ notable Beneficence statute.
“‘Our Call to Beneficence’ is an unprecedented campaign that will support specific, vital projects in every corner of our institution,” Jean Crosby, president of the Ball State University Foundation / Alumni Association, said in a news release. “Thanks to our expanding network of supporters, we have already made significant fundraising progress, but I call upon all graduates and friends to help us reach our campaign’s full, ambitious goal.”
University leaders have identified dozens of initiatives to fund through the campaign, including everything from student scholarships, travel and mentorship programs to building renovations, research opportunities and teaching incentives.
A complete list of fundraising goals can be found on the campaign’s website. The website also shares more information about how to support the campaign.
“Founded more than a century ago on the generosity of donors, Ball State University thrives on a mission inspired by a commitment to doing good,” Ball State Board Chair Renae Conley said. “The University is defined by the enduring values represented by Beneficence. We have launched this campaign to accelerate our progress and enhance our impact.”
