The foundation says the Arc of Wabash County, Life Adult Day Academy, The League, and The Arc of LaGrange will each receive a portion of the funding.
Last August, the organizations received $75,000 and six months to “explore significant barriers and find a path toward solutions that would transform how they serve the disability community.” Each organization was then invited to apply for up to $1,000,000 of additional funding from the foundation to implement a three-to-five-year plan of action.
“We are pleased to award Vantage Grants to these four organizations,” said Patti Hays, chief executive officer of AWS Foundation. “They have worked hard over the past six months to tackle a challenge that has repeatedly been beyond their reach. The Vantage Grant will allow them to provide services or processes in their organizations that might have otherwise been years away from their existing resources.”
In total, nine nonprofits have received grants totaling more than $7.9 million.
