The firm says the new location brings all of its local employees under one roof with the ability to add more.
“Culture is very important to us,” CEO Björn Green. So, we want to all be able to converse and talk amongst each other, welcome new clients into the marketplace, as well as grow. We currently have 20 employees in this office, and we have room for doubling the size of our team.”
The company declined to disclose its financial investment in the relocation.
The new office encompasses two historic buildings that previously housed a restaurant and the offices of the News and Tribune newspaper.
TowerPinkster said the decision to relocate was based off of growth it has seen since its 2021 acquisition of Kovert Hawkins Architects, which had been operating in southern Indiana since 1985.
The new office will be managed by principals John Hawkins and Hal Kovert, as well as directors Kyle Wilson and Amanda Hunsucker.
“[The move] is going to increase our collaboration- it benefits our team, it benefits our projects, and ultimately benefits the clients that we serve,” Wilson said in a news release. “We’re proud to be in southern Indiana. We’re proud to be part of the New Albany community and we look forward to continuing to support our clients throughout southern Indiana, greater Louisville and the entire region.”
TowerPinkster is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. The firm employs more than 200 people across five offices in Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky.
