Anderson approves financing for Fitt USA facility

North Carolina-based Fitt USA is planning to build a 150,000-square-foot building with the potential for an expansion to add an extra 100,000 square feet by 2032. Our partners at The Herald Bulletin report initial work started at the site this week with plans to start construction in September 2024.
Italy-based Sirmax Group, which also has a presence in Anderson, is providing materials that will be used to produce garden hoses, tubing and pipes at the new facility.
Greg Winkler, executive director of the Anderson Economic Development Department, said that Fitt will make an initial investment of $20 million. The company will pay about $4.8 million in property taxes over the next decade, according to the publication.
The company plans to hire 104 employees with a baseline salary of $42,000 with benefits.
