Indianapolis-based Allison Transmission Holdings Inc. (NYSE: ALSN) will Monday celebrate the opening of a new innovation center which will serve as an integral part of the company’s growth.

The facility, located next to company headquarters on the city’s west side, features virtual and physical system simulation and development.

When the project was announced in 2019, the company said it would invest more than $400 million in projects including a Vehicle Environmental Test facility and the Innovation Center.

The test facility opened in August 2020 and was renamed the Vehicle Electrification and Environmental Test Center.
