‘Best Business Schools’ List Includes Hoosier Schools

Subscribe NowU.S. News and World Report is out with its latest ranking on overall best business schools in the country for 2021 and three Hoosier universities are ranked in the top 100. The publication looked at all 477 schools with MBA programs as accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International.
The survey took place in the fall of 2019 and early 2020. Of those, U.S. News ranked 131 schools because they provided enough of the required data on their full-time MBA program and the full-time program’s 2019 graduating class for the editors to calculate rankings.
The criteria include quality assessment as determined by corporate recruiters, peer assessment, and placement success based on salaries and employment rates.
The highest ranked school in Indiana is the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, coming in at No. 23.
The publication states, “students of the Kelley School of Business gain much of their career guidance through experiential learning, such as Bloomington Brands, which immerses the students in real-world business problems in the classroom to prepare for life outside of the school.”
The Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame is ranked No. 30. According to the publication, “integrity is the theme of the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. The school asks each student to emphasize integrity in each and every business decision made.”
The Krannert School of Management at Purdue University hits the list at No. 80.
There is a tie for the top-rated business school on the U.S. News and World Report list, between Stanford University and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
