1st Source Corp. promotes Short to president

Short currently serves as president and CEO of the company’s subsidiary, 1st Source Bank, and will continue in those roles.
1st Source Corp. Chairman and CEO Christopher Murphy previously held the role of president, but will continue in his other roles, as well as chairman of 1st Source Bank.
Murphy said in a news release that he was pleased with the decision by the company’s board of directors to promote Short.
“She is a proven leader who believes in our mission of helping our clients achieve security, build their wealth, and realize their dreams,” Murphy said. “This promotion also validates our commitment to the development of much of our future leadership from within the company. Andrea brings knowledge, history, and years of strong performance to her new position.”
Short has 40 years of experience in the banking industry, including 26 years at 1st Source. She joined the bank as tax director in 1998 and worked her way up the ranks to positions including senior vice president, chief financial officer, and president and CEO.
“I have had the pleasure of working with a great team here throughout my career,” Short said in the release. “I love 1st Source because we are a community bank focused on the success of our neighbors, our colleagues, our clients, and our shareholders.”
In addition to her roles at the bank, Short also serves on the board of the South Bend-Elkhart Regional Partnership and the Medical Education Foundation.
