Upskilling Indiana Inmates

Each year, more than 20,000 ex-offenders are released from Indiana prisons. Their prospects for finding a job are slim which is one of the main reasons more than a third of them return to life behind bars. DeMotte-based Gold Standard Truss is helping reverse the dynamic. The building materials company is planning on operating a truss manufacturing facility on the grounds of the Westville Correctional Facility in LaPorte County.
