The company says it has acquired eSCRIBE Software Ltd, a company based in Canada.
eSCRIBE is a cloud-based meeting management platform that helps public sector boards, committees, and councils with board materials and communication across any device.
“Like every sector, government bodies are undergoing digital transformation and modernizing to meet constituents’ expectations,” said OnBoard co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Paroon Chadha. “With this acquisition, together OnBoard and eSCRIBE can help them meet their challenges, improve decision-making, and provide transparency.”
OnBoard, which had developed a cloud-based management platform for corporate boards, said last month it planned to use its new funding to accelerate product development, fuel expansions with strategic acquisitions, and further grow the brand.
OnBoard says it plans to keep the eSCRIBE headquarters in Ontario. It also plans to continue with hiring plans throughout 2021, which includes the addition of more than 60 new full-time hires.
The combined company will serve and support more than 3,500 boards and 14,000 subcommittees in more than 30 countries across the globe.
