Among its efforts to encourage sustainability, the gaming convention says all of its show signage for the convention will be printed on recyclable cardboard.
The convention will also swap 27,000 square feet of vinyl table coverings for linens and recyclable paper.
The convention also says customers who purchase beverages at any of the convention center concession stands will receive their drink in a durable, reusable cup. A $3 deposit will be added to customers’ first beverage purchase, the cup is to be reused throughout the convention. Afterward, customers may keep the cup, or return it for a full refund of the deposit.
Returned cups will be sterilized and reused at future conventions, or upcycled into different products.
