Schedules Released For Hoosier Indoor Football Teams

Subscribe NowThe new indoor football league that will feature two Indiana teams has released the schedule for its inaugural season. The National Gridiron League says the season will kick off March 30 and the Indiana Blue Bombers in Fort Wayne and Indiana Firebirds in Evansville will square off twice.
The Indiana teams were announced in September. The two will face off May 11 at the Ford Center in Evansville and again June 29 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.
"We are ecstatic about the opportunity to bring this exciting, affordable, family-friendly brand of football back to each of our host markets," Joe McClendon, chairman and league president, said in a news release. "The majority of our host cities have had arena football teams come and go in the past, but it is our mission to establish a lasting legacy of excitement and community outreach in each market we are entering. We believe that our single entity ownership structure gives us the ability to do just that!”
The Firebirds and the Blue Bombers will have bye weeks on opening weekend. Both teams will host their first home games on week three. You can view the full schedule below:
