A membership-driven organization of corn, sorghum, barley producers and agribusinesses, USGC supports free and fair global trade. USGC is headquartered in Washington, D.C., but has a full-time presence in 13 key markets around the world and operates programs in more than 50 countries. He will serve until July 2019.
Miller is the fifth generation to work on his Madison County farm near Anderson. The farm produces 850 acres of corn with additional acreage in soybeans.
His passion to expand U.S. export markets for corn inspired him to seek a position on the U.S. Grains Council board.
Miller served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and worked overseas as a finance officer for Lockheed Martin. He believes that experience may have helped him get elected to the board.
Miller is the second Hoosier elected as a board member to the U.S. Grains Council, which was launched in 1960. Indiana farmer David Howell served on the board in 2014.
He is also Jackson Township Trustee in Madison County and a board member of the Agape Family Life House.
