The Morris-Flanagan-Kincaid House in Fishers will have a new owner and location this summer. The city of Fishers will purchase the 1861-built brick farmhouse from Nickel Plate Arts and move it from the Navient campus along I-69 to a new spot on USA Parkway. 

The house will be featured in a new roundabout that will include a historical education and viewing area near the Yard at Fishers District. Hamilton County Tourism will fund improvements once the house is moved. “For years, Hamilton County Tourism has attempted to find possible uses for the house that would fit both the City’s master plan and be viable for sustaining the property,” said Brenda Myers, president and chief executive officer of Hamilton County Tourism. “We are delighted Fishers has come up with such a creative way to share the area’s history through the house as public art.”

The home was first moved to its current location in 2014. The latest move and improvements will be made later this year.
