Startup Accelerator Begins Indy Cohort

The companies, selected from a pool of more than 50 applicants, will receive individualized coaching and access to gener8tor’s pool of mentors, investors and legal experts.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. and Hendricks Commercial Properties helped bring the program, called gBETA, to Indiana. The IEDC is providing support for the first phase of the program while gener8tor looks to establish a long-term presence in the state. The program requires no fees or equity to participate.
IEDC President Elaine Bedel says the state’s first public, application-based accelerator will allow innovators to "start and scale their businesses, attract new capital and create jobs for Hoosiers."
The five companies selected are:
SnapShyft, which is a gig economy staffing software platform for the food and beverage and hospitality industries
Woven, which is a hiring platform for software engineers
Pinpoint Pharma, which develops personalized "medicine printers" and pre-filled medicine cartridges using inkjet printing technology
Selfless.ly, which helps businesses create and maintain Corporate Social Responsibility programs
Codelicious, which provides computer science curriculum for grades 3-8
gener8tor says, to date, its 65 alumni have raised a total of more than $150 million in follow-up financing. The Indy Spring 2018 cohort began Thursday.
