Pre-professional students will benefit from two new deals struck by the University of Saint Francis and Manchester University. As part of the partnerships, USF pharmacy students and Manchester pharmacogenomics students will have access to programs at the other school.

USF students pursuing an associate of pre-pharmacy chemistry degree will have two spots reserved for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program at Manchester. Pharmacogenomics students will have four reserved seats entering the Master of Science in Pharmacogenomics program at Manchester. Those students study the relationship between a person’s genes and their response to different medicines. 

USF Chemistry Department chair Andrea Geyer says the new partnerships will allow students to utilize the newly-renovated Achatz Hall of Science and Research Center in spring 2019. "The Achatz renovations are about connecting with today’s students academically, socially and spiritually. The new building will have state-of-the-art laboratories with classrooms built to support 21st-century skill development, including collaboration, critical thinking and communicating."
