The organizations are also hosting a "food networking event" allowing Indiana Grown members to connect with each other and local business owners. Eskenazi Health CEO Dr. Lisa Harris will discuss the partnership this weekend on Inside INdiana Business With Gerry Dick.
Indiana Grown, which helps consumers find products grown, raised, produced and processed in Indiana, launched nearly three years ago. The statewide initiative recently celebrated passing the 1,000-member milestone. Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch says she hopes to double the membership number within the next two years.
Monday’s announcement will involve an effort to create and provide locally-made food offerings in the hospital’s food service areas. Harris and Crouch will take part in the event, which is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
