Students in the program will be required to complete 42 credit hours, which is expected to take 21 months to finish.
Students will take classes online through IWU-National & Global, which offers degree programs to adults online, and in IWU’s 15 education centers in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. The university is targeting people already working in project management who want to broaden their skills. Associate Director of the program, Paul Richardson, says “Project management is a global business, and because Indiana Wesleyan University is committed to growing its global presence, developing this program just made sense,” “As the field of project management continues to grow, not just in the United States but across the globe, an education in project management offers a significant number of opportunities to our students.”
Richardson already calls the program, which began in January, an "early success". 22 students have been accepted into the program’s next session, which starts April 9. Richardson expects the total to be near 100 students by the enrollment deadline.
