VeriCite CEO Valerie Schreiner will be joining Turnitin

In a statement, VeriCite CEO Valerie Schreiner said "Together, we will support academic integrity by combining the tight LMS integrations of VeriCite with the accuracy and scale of Turnitin’s plagiarism prevention services. I am truly excited about the great things that this will mean for VeriCite customers in the months to come". Schreiner added- ?"My staff and I are now a part of Turnitin. We remain committed to delivering a high quality, reliable experience for our customers. We look forward to collaborating with the Turnitin team to create the next generation of innovative academic integrity solutions."
Turnitin CEO Chris Caren says in a statement- "I’m also thrilled to welcome the VeriCite leadership team and staff to Turnitin. VeriCite CEO Valerie Schreiner, who previously held senior-level positions at Elluminate, Blackboard, and Schoolzilla, will bring a wealth of edtech leadership to our organization. Edtech veteran Ray Henderson, who served as VeriCite’s Board Chairman, will become an advisor to Turnitin."
Schreiner says VeriCite customers will have the option to continue using basic checking solutions or to upgrade to a more comprehensive integrity package. Turnitin will honor VeriCite customers’ existing pricing and terms.
