Subscribe NowThe Louisville-based parent of Care Ambulance has announced plans to close its facility near downtown Indianapolis. In a notice to the state, Procarent says the closure will leave more than 80 employees out of work.
The layoffs are expected to begin February 2 and Procarent says they are expected to be permanent. The affected employees do not have bumping rights.
Procarent did not provide a specific reason for the closure of its Indianapolis facility. The company has other Care Ambulance offices in Terre Haute and Clay County.
