Central Indiana Lands More Fraternity HQs

Two fraternities have announced plans to relocate their national headquarters to central Indiana. Sigma Tau Gamma, which was founded and is currently based in Missouri, says it will move to Indianapolis early next year and Pennsylvania-based Phi Kappa Sigma will relocate to Carmel next month. The national headquarters of more than 40 fraternities and sororities associated with the North-American Interfraternity Conference are already located in the Indianapolis Metropolitan area.

Sigma Tau Gamma was founded nearly 100 years ago in Warrensburg, Missouri at the University of Central Missouri. It currently has 14 full-time employees, 10 of which will come to Indy, and says the decision to relocate is two-years in the making. Sigma Tau Gamma says it plans to grow the organization to 30-45 employees by 2025. You can read more about the move by clicking here.

Phi Kappa Sigma is currently located in the Philadelphia area, where it was started in 1850. The organization says the move to Hamilton County will put it closer to peer fraternities, trade associations and "dramatically improve" its support of existing and new chapters. Phi Kappa Sigma says the move will place its main office in a "more metropolitan market" and boost talent attraction, retention and development. It selected Carmel over other markets including Chicago; Richmond, Virginia; Atlanta, Georgia; Nashville, Tennessee and Dallas. You can read more about the move by clicking here.
