Indiana Landmarks names southwest office director

In her new role, Richard will oversee the organization’s historic preservation work in the southwest region, which covers Gibson, Posey, Pike, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick counties.
Prior to her appointment, Richard worked as a project manager at Architectural Renovators LLC in Evansville. Since 2018, she has also served as a commissioner on the Evansville Historic Preservation Commission.
“We’re fortunate to have found a person so well suited to this position and place,” Marsh Davis, president of Indiana Landmarks, said in a news release. “Stephanie brings a deep knowledge of the region to her new role, along with a strong background in historic preservation, renovation, and design.”
As director of the southwest field office, Richard will work with communities, government officials, and local preservation committees to save endangered structures. According to Indiana Landmarks, she will also supervise the construction management and preservation of certain buildings within the New Harmony National Historic Landmark District via an arrangement with New Harmony, a program led by the University of Southern Indiana.
Indiana Landmarks is a not-for-profit organization that has nine offices throughout the state. Its goal is to help people save, protect, and revitalize historic landmarks and neighborhoods.
