The Vault on Main will be built at the site of the former 420 Main building that was demolished in November 2021.
When complete, the building will include 161 residential units, as well as first-floor retail space on Main Street in downtown Evansville and an underground parking garage.
Originally, plans called for the construction of two mixed-use buildings on the property at 5th and Main Streets, but those plans were adjusted due to rising costs caused by inflation.
Construction is slated for completion in 2026.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
