The publication ranks schools based on a variety of factors, including state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.
The Signature School in Evansville comes in at No. 3 overall and No. 1 among all charter high schools in the country. It consistently ranks as one of the top high schools in the country by various publications.
U.S. News evaluated data from nearly 18,000 schools to calculate the rankings.
