Word Systems says the acquisition fits into its strategy “to develop and provide best in class technology to allow public safety and law enforcement clients to operate more effectively and efficiently.”
“We have found the ideal partner to assist in our growth and mission to help first responders and law enforcement officers communicate quickly, safely and in compliance with state and federal regulations,” said Jeff Halstead, president and co-founder of Evertel. “Having already successfully piloted client solutions with Word Systems over the past six months, we have built a solid foundation to accelerate the growth of both companies going forward.”
Evertel will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Word Systems and is expected to retain its brand as well as leadership, sales and development teams.
