The Indy Chamber has hired Rick Proctor as the executive director of Business Ownership Initiative, the anchor organization of the Indy Chamber’s Entrepreneur Services division. Proctor will oversee day-to-day operations, with an emphasis on growing BOI’s small business loan program.

Proctor formerly served as vice president at BMO Harris Bank, and also founded the West Side Chamber of Commerce in 2010 and served as its president until last year. 

“I’ve always admired the Indy Chamber’s leadership in economic and community development,” said Proctor. “The Chamber’s Entrepreneur Services division has already made an impact in the small business community, and I’m eager to help the organization increase the accessibility of its financial and education resources, especially in disadvantaged communities.”

Proctor began his new role on Monday, June 10.
