Indiana Barge Line Names New CEO

Ellis most recently served as executive vice president and marine group leader for Savage Services Corp., a transportation, logistics and material handling company based in Utah. He takes over August 17.
In April, Savage sold its inland barge division in which Ellis oversaw.
“Mike comes to ACBL with a long history in the industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership that will guide us forward,” said John Giles, chair of ACBL’s board of directors.
The company website says ACBL operates a fleet of 3,550 barges and 190 towboats, moving a variety of dry and liquid products on the Mississippi River and its tributaries.
