The credit union says the new building will house all of the organization’s support departments and administrative functions.
Fort Financial President Steve Collins says the credit union has outgrown its current facility. He says the new headquarters will allow for future growth, including a new business lending department and call center staff.
The 27,000-square-foot building will feature two stories and a basement, which the credit union says will be dedicated to technology and innovation projects. A full-service branch location will be attached to the building and will feature an exterior ATM and two drive-up lanes.
“As we looked at where our membership growth has occurred and where we lacked a physical presence, we knew that finding a location on the northwest part of Fort Wayne would allow us to better serve our members and give us more visibility in the city,” said Collins.
In addition, the credit union says rooftop solar panels will be used to help provide electricity to the building. The facility will also feature two electric vehicle charging stations.
Fort Financial says it expects to move into its headquarters in July 2022.
