Rolls-Royce Awarded Two Military Contracts

Subscribe NowRolls-Royce Corp. in Indianapolis has been awarded a total of nearly $170 million for two military contracts. The U.S. Department of Defense says the contracts call for work associated with military engines and propulsion long-term sustainment.
The company received a $72 million modification to a previously-award contract for work to procure 33 production V-22 Osprey engines; 14 for the Marine Corps and 19 for the Navy for production of MV-22 and CMV-22 tiltrotor aircraft.
The work will be conducted in Indianapolis and is expected to be completed in December 2022.
The Naval Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
The company was also awarded an $96 million contract for propulsion long-term sustainment.
Work will be performed at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia and is expected to be completed January 31, 2022.
