Fort Wayne Housing Exec. Named to Board

George Guy, CEO and Executive Director of the Fort Wayne Housing Authority has been elected to serve as president of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials Northern Central Regional Council.  In his role as president, Guy will lead a board of directors which include 44 voting members and 26 ex-officio non-voting members representing the interests of housing agencies throughout the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Prior to Fort Wayne Housing Authority, Guy helped lead the Rock Island Housing Authority in achieving several High Performer designations in both Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Programs.  He has spent over 25 years developing solutions to improve the quality of life for families in underserved communities. 

Guy currently serves on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne, United Way of Allen County, Fort Wayne Urban League and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis Affordable Housing Advisory Council.
