Subscribe NowAs the Indiana IoT Lab in Fishers approaches its first birthday, founder John Wechsler says it is outperforming some of the most optimistic expectations. Not only is the facility fully leased, with 17 tenant companies and institutions, it has hosted 50 IoT events, which attracted more than 3,500 people to the lab, serving as a boost to the emerging sector statewide. He believes the lab’s first year underscores Indiana’s opportunity to be a global IoT leader. "If you look our traditional strengths of making things, moving things and growing things – manufacturing, distribution and ag – all of that is going to be radically transformed in the coming decades by infusing internet-based technologies, IoT, into those traditional industries," said Wechsler. "We really have a unique opportunity to lead in the future."
Wechsler talked about growth at the IoT lab as well as a first-ever report on the state of the industry in Indiana on this weekend’s edition of Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick.
