New owner Ryan Rans, who along with wife Kristy acquired the company from well-known restaurateur Larry Griggers, says the decision is already paying dividends.
Rans talked about the decision to locate a Ruth’s Chris franchise in Fort Wayne and opportunities for growth on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick. "Fort Wayne has been and is a dynamic market and there’s so much going on downtown right now. We looked at how do we catalyze and take advantage of the catalyzation of downtown Fort Wayne and we thought ‘how do we not put ourselves in to a position to be a part of that?’" Rans added, after just one month since it opened in the Allen County city, "the reception from the community has been impressive."
In addition to the Fort Wayne location, Indianapolis-based Hoosier Hospitality Group operates two Ruth’s Chris franchise restaurants in Indianapolis, one in South Bend and two in St. Louis. Rans, who began partnering with Griggers a decade ago in his native area of South Bend, says the group is open to additional expansion throughout the Midwest.
