The liquefied natural gas supplier, which was a subsidiary of Citizens Energy Group before its acquisition last year by Chicago-based Parallel49 Equity, has invested $500,000 into two LNG-powered fuel delivery trucks.
Since the beginning of the year, Kinetrex has added six employees. It operates two liquefaction plants in Indianapolis and says it will continue to use third-party vendors in addition to the new vehicles to serve customers for deliveries. Chief Executive Officer Aaron Johnson compares the new trucks to rolling laboratories and says the company can "see firsthand the analytics including gas mileage, service needs and other diagnostics. We will share this information with our customers and the public so as to better inform their decisions about the benefits of converting to this economical and clean-burning, 21st century American fuel."
Kinetrex Energy bills itself as the country’s leading inter-state LNG company. Its customers are in the transportation, commercial, industrial, agricultural and power industries.
