Governor Eric Holcomb says the impact will extend far beyond central Indiana. "It could not be a better partnership," said Holcomb, during an interview on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick. "Folks will be coming into Indiana through the number-one ranked airport, now six years in North America, and they’ll drive by Infosys every single day to get trained."
Holcomb was joined on the show by Infosys President Ravi Kumar, who talked about the company’s focus on training and how it will shape the Indiana investment.
The Infosys development will be modeled after the live, work, play campuses the company is known for in India.
Phase one will involve a $35 million investment on more than 70 acres and include the U.S. Education Center and a 250-person bed residential facility. Construction is expected to begin this year and be complete in 2020.
Infosys expects the investment to reach $245 million and include 786,000 square feet of office, education and recreational space.
