Fadness says companies have this year committed to adding 2,185 jobs and investing $64.5 million in Fishers. Since 2015, when Fishers became a city, Fadness says the job commitments total more than 4,500. "And we think that momentum is going to continue into 2018," said Fadness during an interview on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick. As an example, Fadness says the first restaurant deals for The Yard, a $40 million food and entertainment hub, have been signed and will be announced this month.
Fadness says the economic development activity is in line with the city’s focus on home-grown, innovative companies.
Flexware Innovation is Fishers’ latest economic development deal. The engineering, business intelligence and automation services provider says it will invest nearly $8 million to expand its Fishers operation and add nearly 70 jobs by 2021. Fadness says the jobs will pay 75 percent above the average wage in Hamilton County.
Other 2017 economic development deals include Knowledge Services, Iconic Digital, Netfor, CEDIA, and Vibenomics.
