WGU Adds New Scholarships

WGU Indiana says the move is in response to Governor Eric Holcomb’s call for Hoosiers to get additional training to fill more than 1 million expected job openings by 2025.
The school says it is accepting applications for the $2,000 scholarships through the end of the year. They are open to students pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees.The school says the average time to complete a degree at the school is about two-and-a-half years, at a cost of about $6,000 per year.
Indiana Secretary of Career Connections and Talent says WGU Indiana "plays an important role in educating our work force," adding the state needs "partners to provide a deep pool of talent for employers."
WGU Indiana celebrated its seventh anniversary this summer. The school boasts a current enrollment of 5,000, and says it has granted degrees to 4,700 graduates since 2010.
