In an interview on Inside INdiana Business Television, Stutz said he is very impressed by the state’s colleges and universities. "I don’t think there is another city in the country that has a feeder pool like that for young tech talent than what Indianapolis has."
Stutz says Indianapolis has what it takes to be a great tech city.
At a Saturday event marking the official opening of Salesforce Tower, CEO Marc Benioff said the company will participate in the effort to build a robust talent pool. Benioff committed to training and placing 500 apprentices in the tech economy by 2020, part of Salesforce Futureforce, an effort focused on training and hiring for "the jobs of tomorrow."
Salesforce Tower is the state’s tallest office building and is the company’s largest employment center outside of its San Francisco headquarters. It is one of four Salesforce-branded towers. The others are in San Francisco, New York and London.
Salesforce currently has about 1,600 employees in the Indianapolis area and more than 25,000 worldwide.
