Wurth Service Supply plans to invest more than $21 million to build a 230,000 square-foot facility in the Southpoint Business Park and add 60 jobs over the next five years.
Construction of the facility is expected to be complete by late 2017. The Johnson County Development Corp. says the new jobs will include warehouse laborers, administrative and professional positions.
"We are thrilled a global firm like Wurth Group has selected Greenwood for their consolidated midwest hub," said Cheryl Morphew, chief executive officer of the JCDC. "It speaks to their confidence in Johnson County and our community’s impact on their long-term success."
In addition to the new jobs, the JCDC says Wurth will relocate its 100 current employees to the new facility.
