Exhibit Columbus has launched with a symposium that runs through Sunday. It will also include additional events that will take place throughout 2017.
Landmark Columbus Director Richard McCoy said this month in a letter to supporters "in short, our hope is that Exhibit Columbus makes the community known for what it is doing now rather than just being known for what was done in the past."
Next year, organizers will host an exhibition and the J. Irwin Miller and Xenia S. Miller Prize will be awarded. It will consist of a competition among five individuals and teams from throughout the country designing, constructing and installing temporary art projects at prominent sites in Columbus.
The goal is to follow the first edition with another biennial event in 2018-2019.
