hhgregg Plans Holiday Hiring

Indianapolis-based hhgregg Inc. (NYSE: HGG) plans to hire 500 associates for the holiday season. The electronics and home furnishings retailer says it is hiring at all 220 locations across 19 states.

The company says available positions range from entry level to senior management, with previous retail experience preferred but not required. hhgregg says those interested can text hhgregg to 51893 or visit their jobs site.

Earlier this week, hhgregg announced Andretti Autosport chairman Michael Andretti has joined its board of directors. The move comes after last month’s news that hhgregg would be a major sponsor of Marco Andretti’s car in the Verizon IndyCar Series beginning next year.
