Emarsys Expansion Ahead of Schedule

Global cloud marketing software provider Emarsys unveiled plans last year to invest more than $3 million into its downtown operations and create 170 jobs by 2020. Emarsys Americas President Sean Brady tells Inside INdiana Business the operation has "far exceeded expectations" both financially and through its work force.
Emarsys announced last year that it had selected Indianapolis as the location for it North American headquarters over traditional tech hubs like San Francisco and Austin. At the time, Brady said the city’s reputation as the "Silicon Valley of the Midwest" is growing, adding Indianapolis boasts a ready work force on par with traditional East and West Coast tech centers.
Also last year, Emarsys landed a $33 million infusion from Vector Capital to strengthen its U.S. and Latin American markets. The company said it would use the first institutional funding in its 15-year history to expand sales, marketing and innovation efforts.
Emarsys, which as founded in 2000, has 16 global offices with about 500 employees. The company says it serves more than 1,200 customers in 140 counties, including eBay, Toys "r" Us and Volvo.
