Cameron says the move will cut down on paperwork and allow it to take part in group purchasing while remaining a "strong, independent, critical access hospital."
Cameron says the partnership also gives it access to Parkview Community Connect, which is its electronic health records system for independent physicians and hospitals throughout the region. Chief Executive Officer Connie McCahill says the agreement will help Cameron fulfill its commitment to high-quality care in several areas.
In a release, Parkview Health CEO Mike Packnett said, "Parkview’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve extends beyond our patients, We’re focused on doing what’s best for each and every community throughout northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio and southern Michigan. This alignment will help us to further our mission while supporting Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, and the residents of Angola and Steuben County."
