The Natural Resources Commission has approved the creation of a new nature preserve in Steuben County. The action to create Perfect Lake Nature Preserve gives the state 289 state-designated sites protected by the Nature Preserves Act.

The just over 84 acres, near Fish Creek, includes an upland forest and wetlands adjoining Perfect lake, which is owned and administrated by ACRES Land Trust.
