Eleven Fifty to Move Headquarters

The nonprofit coding academy says it will invest $5 million to move its national headquarters to a 25,000-square-foot space in downtown Indianapolis near the Indiana Statehouse. Eleven Fifty says it will maintain its existing space in Fishers and has additional plans to add more locations statewide in the future.
The organization says it aims to bring its staff to more than 150 over the next six years. Eleven Fifty Academy Founder and President Scott Jones says during that time, the academy expects to see several hundred apprentices emerging and more than 3,200 graduates.
Eleven Fifty Academy plunges students into an intense boot camp to teach computer engineering skills and software coding. Full-time students can complete the course in 12 weeks.
Jones says thousands of software developer and cybersecurity jobs are available in Indiana today, many of those positions require industry certification, which students can achieve at Eleven Fifty Academy. In June, the academy announced it was launching a cybersecurity course.
Now in its fifth year, Eleven Fifty Academy increased its graduate population by 500 percent during 2018. Jones expects EFA to grow another 500 percent in 2019.
